FA Cup Extra-Preliminary Round
Liam Parker wrote his name into Goole AFC folklore with the last gasp extra-time winner in the incredible battle with Northern League giants Sunderland Ryhope.
Saturday’s original tie had drama but the replay was something else.
Parker gave Goole an early lead which was cancelled out by James Ellis on the hour mark.
Goole headed into down and out territory when Sunderland took the lead in the tenth minute of extra-time.
However, this Goole side under Mike Carmody do not know when they beaten – as the recent draw with Thackley testifies.
Mitch Pattinson levelled proceedings in the second half of extra-time and it was left to Parker to be the hero and spark scenes of jubilation as Goole clinched a 3-2 victory.
Goole will host Pontefract Collieries in the Preliminary Round.
Penistone Church are out after losing 2-1 to Lower Breck at home – Luke Stewart got Penistone’s goal.

Danny Edwards and Anees Younis both scored hat-tricks as Nostell Miners Welfare walloped Shirebrook Town 8-2 at Crofton Community Centre.
Nathan Perks and Joe Wood also scored.
Adam Baskerville, Reece High and Reece Varley were Armthorpe Welfare’s goal-scorers in the 3-0 win over Rainworth Miners Welfare.
Parkgate won 5-4 on penalises after a goal-less draw with Dronfield Town.
Hallam lost 2-1 following extra-time at Brigg Town – James Gregory forced the extra half-hour.
