Penistone Church hero Nick Guest

Nick Guest’s held his nerve to score a last minute penalty to rescue a 2-2 draw for Penistone Church who looked dead and buried at half-time.

Church were staring down the barrel of a second consecutive league defeat after conceding two Lynton Karkach goals.

Kieran Ryan scored from a corner in the 55th minute before Guest converted a 90th minute equalising penalty for the second time in three league games.

George Doyle briefly reduced the deficit for Emley when Eccleshill led 2-0.

Maltby Main striker Reggie Waud

Reggie Waud was Maltby Main’s hat-trick hero in the 5-0 defeat of eight man Athersley Rec at Muglet Lane.

Alex Hardwick and Waud (2) had already given Maltby a comfortable three-goal lead before Athersley captain Dale Brettoner was shown a second yellow card for encroachment from a free kick.

Rec’s goalkeeper was then later sent off for handling outside his penalty area.

Waud made it four with his match-ball stealing goal before Athersley were reduced to eight men after a third man went off injured after all three substitutes had been used.

Johnathan Williams added the fifth in the last minute.

Silsden striker Joe Jagger

Silsden were denied a second consecutive victory as Barton Town equalised in the 81st minute to claim a 2-2 draw.

Mohammed Qasim and Joe Jagger had overturned an early deficit to put Silsden ahead.

Hemsworth Miners Welfare lost 4-3 to Sherwood Colliery – Connor Brunt, Jay Davis and Kane Swinburn were the Wells goal-scorers.
