Super-sub Morton scores 97th minute winner for Maltby

Maltby Main hero Brad Morton

Super-sub Brad Morton sparked scenes of jubilation with the last minute winner as high-flying Maltby Main inflicted a first league defeat on AFC Mansfield.

Jamie Austin’s early second half goal had looked to be the winner until Luke Walker equalised from the spot in the 85th minute for Mansfield.

Morton, a replacement for Jed McGowan who went off with a head injury, headed home a corner in the 97th minute at the back-post.

Mohammad Qasim (right) scored a hat-trick for Silsden

Mohammed Qasim took home the match-ball as in-form Silsden smashed Hemsworth Miners Welfare 6-2. 

Khurram Shazad, Jack Normanton and Joe Jagger also scored. 

An own goal and a Kane Swinburn strike were on Hemsworth’s tally.

Thackley bounced back from two consecutive 4-0 defeats with an impressive solitary goal defeat of Staveley Miners Welfare.

Lewis Waddington was their late hero.

Jaydan Sandhu and an own goal from Reece Nelson secured Albion Sports their 2-0 win over Athersley Rec.

A back to form Mark Simpson rattled home two goals for Knaresborough Town who lost 4-3 at leaders Grimsby Borough.

Tom Dugdale had given Knaresborough the lead.

A depleted Garforth Town side lost 3-1 at home to Bottesford Town.

Alex Burton’s late goal gave Garforth hope before Bottesford scored their third.

Goole AFC were beaten 2-1 by Sherwood Colliery at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds.

Callum McEwan got Goole’s goal.
