The strike earned Craig Denton’s side a 2-1 victory at Harrogate Railway.
The scores had been level since half-time as Railway captain Dan McDaid’s magnificent free kick had cancelled out Iren Wilson’s opener for Hallam.
Liam Flanagan’s penalty sent Selby Town up to second place.
Selby came from behind to beat Parkgate 2-1 at Roundwood.
Will Wraith broke the deadlock straight after the interval but Flynn McNaughton equalised almost instantly.
Flanagan then won it with 23 minutes remaining.
Nostell Miners Welfare were replaced at the top by Brigg Town who demolished them in a 7-0 defeat.
With Anees Younis ill, Nostell were not at full strength and Brigg tore them apart.
Dayle Hutson and Scott Phillips both scored hat-tricks.
Andrew Taylor also scored.
Nostell striker Nathan Perks was sent off in the 55th minute to compound matters.
Jack Watson’s hat-trick propelled Rossington Main up to third.
Rossington cruised to a 4-0 defeat of Shirebrook – Paul Sherburn broke the deadlock in the first half.
Harvey Carew’s goal was the difference as North Ferriby climbed to fifth thanks to the 3-2 win at Swallownest.
Chris Bolder’s men raced into a two-goal lead through Tom Corner and Danny East.
A second half Levi Tarbottom own goal brought Swallownest back into it.
But Carew stretched their lead to 3-1 before Jason Short set up late drama.
Hall Road Rangers won back-to-back games for the first time this season with the 3-0 defeat of Teversal.
