NPL Division One East Round-Up
Frickley Athletic 0-1 Ossett United
Reon Potts struck the only goal of the game as Ossett United continued their promising start to the campaign with victory in the local derby at Frickley Athletic.
Just over 450 people watched the in-form on-loan York City striker Potts scored the winner in the 20th minute.
Aaron Haswell’s shot had been saved but Potts pounced to score.
Ossett had to withstand pressure from Frickley in the second half but they held firm with captain Jack Cowgill and 17-year-old David Adewoju leading the defence.
A peach of a Tyler Williams cross nearly presented Frickley with a late equaliser but their two marauding strikers could not connect with it.
