New Hemsworth Miners Welfare manager Shane Kelsey has added a trio of players to his squad.
Goalkeeper Jake Teale, attacker Marcel Chipamaunga and midfielder Joe Webster are ready to take part in the visit of Goole AFC to Fitzwilliam tomorrow night for Kelsey’s first official game in charge.
Chipamaunga, who played for Kelsey at Athersley Rec, and Teale are both dual-signed with Ossett United.
Webster has stepped up from the under 23s.
Because he was only appointed on Friday, Kelsey has been unable to follow through on any seven days’ notice attempts.
That’s meant he has had to call in a favour from legendary Hemsworth boss Wayne Benn, now the Ossett manager.
The goalkeeper situation was fairly perilous as left-back Steven Jeff had to play in goal during the 5-2 FA Vase defeat to Selby Town on Saturday.
