Our FA Cup heroes Pontefract Collieries and Handsworth have incredibly been drawn against each other in the FA Cup third qualifying round.
With both sides aiming to reach the fourth qualifying round for the first time in their history, it will be arguably be one of the biggest games ever for both of them.
The tie will take place at Beechnut Lane on the October 2nd and the winner will move to one step away from the prestigious first round.
It will definitely be a hum-dinger and ripe for an upset as Handsworth, one of the lowest sides left in the competition, have already caused several – most notably Saturday’s victory at previously unbeaten Halesowen on Saturday.
But Pontefract have slowly been improving and results are starting to turn in the right direction for Craig Rouse’s men.
They also have home advantage – for the first time in nine FA Cup fixtures.
The Colls won at Squires Gate on Saturday to book their third qualifying round tie.
Elsewhere, York City have drawn Whitby Town at home.
Guiseley will host either Blyth Spartans or FC United of Manchester.
