Mark Maspero resigned as FC Humber United manager on the eve of the 2-2 draw with Armthorpe Welfare.
Director of football Marc Brown has taken over as his replacement alongside Luke Herriott and assistant Paul Reed.
Maspero can leave Humber with his head held high after performing miracles with the club.
He took the job during the Christmas period last year and somehow gathered a team together for the Boxing Day clash at Winterton Rangers.
He then rebuilt the team for the new season and created a competitive side which stunned Dronfield Town 7-1 on the opening day.
Although some results have been disappointing, on a whole Humber have given everyone a game so far.
A club statement said: “FC Humber United have reluctantly accepted the resignation of First Team Manager, Mark Maspero on Friday evening.
“All at the club thank Mark for the hard work, commitment and dedication to the club in building to where we are today over the past 10 months and for going above and beyond his position as First Team Manager. We wish Mark well for the future and sure he will be back in charge of a team in the near future.
“With our fixture against Shirebrook on Tuesday evening we have had to act quickly and can today confirm the appointment of Marc Brown as manager alongside Luke Herriott (Manager) and Paul Reed (Assistant Manager) who join the club in our new management team.
“We would like to wish Marc, Luke & Paul all the best in our new coaching setup and build upon what we have accomplished so far.”
