FA Vase
Swallownest have been restored to the FA Vase after Lower Breck were thrown out of the competition.
Swallownest lost 5-0 at the strong North West Counties League Premier Division side but their opponents threw on an ineligible player – a short term loan player – as a substitute in the last ten minutes.
Alex Nightingale’s side will now host Birtley Town in the first round.
It is a welcome boost for Nightingale and his side who have had a difficult start to the Toolstation NCEL Division One season.
The Birtley tie is likely to be played on Saturday 23rd October 2021.
