Liam Owen’s hat-trick in the 6-0 battering of Stocksbridge Park Steels reserves continued Dodworth Miners Welfare’s perfect start.
Owen’s treble was the centre-piece of Dodworth’s win – their fourth consecutive success.
The league’s top goal-scorer and club favourite Calan Rollinson only got one this week.
Owen’s older brother Jack scored twice.
Goals from Sam Jones and Ryan Wingrove ended a run of two straight defeats for Terry Simon’s Wombwell Main who won 2-0 in the derby day clash with Houghton Main.
Swinton Athletic were involved in huge drama against Oughtibridge as their opponents scored a last gasp goal to draw 3-3.
Swinton had led 2-0 at half-time through forward Sam Green.
But the second half saw Oughtibridge level the scores.
Swinton then regained the lead as Sam Green completed his hat-trick.
There was to be late mayhem as Oughtibridge claimed their precious point.
Swinton defender Jon Billups saw red card and from the free kick Oughtibridge equalised.
Penistone Church sealed a fourth consecutive win with the 2-0 despatching of Hepworth United.
Sheffield Town won 7-2 High Green Villa.
Ecclesfield Red Rose 1915’s trip to North Gawber was postponed.
