County Cup Round-Ups

Three late goals propelled Nostell Miners Welfare past Worsbrough Bridge into the third round of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup.
Nathan Hawkhead turned the game in Nostell’s direction after heading home Jamie Allsop’s perfectly-flighted corner with 15 minutes to go.
Danny Edwards and then Brandon Hughes-Miller made the score-line more resounding.
Worsbrough vice-captain Luke Francis had earlier cancelled out Liam Ormsby’s opener.

West Riding County Cup holders Ossett United narrowly avoided an early exit after Nash Connolly scored a last minute goal to force a penalty shootout which Wayne Benn’s men duly won.
Lower league Selby Town had led twice in the 2-2 draw.
Harry Clapham poked Selby in front on the hour after a free kick was not cleared.
Josh Haigh equalised before Liam Flanagan restored Selby’s lead with a close range finish.
Connolly popped up right at the death and goalkeeper Jake Teale made himself a hero by saving two penalties as Ossett won 4-2 in shootout.
