Laurence Sorhaindo got two as an incredible first half performance secured Vill Powell’s Brighouse Town a brilliant 3-1 win at North East giants Hebburn Town.
Sorhaindo picked up a loose ball and rode in to score in the fourth minute.
Josh Grant’s corner was headed home by Zeph Thomas on the half-hour mark.
The best goal of the night belonged to Sorhainho who found the top corner with a sensational volley from 25 yards.
That made it 3-0 before half-time and the only blot on the copybook was Hebburn’s very late consolation.
Threadbare Bridlington Town earned themselves a 1-1 draw with Frickley Athletic at Queensgate.
Frickley took a first half lead through Danny Burns who struck gold in the 32nd minute.
A bullet header from Andy Norfolk two minutes into the second half brought the scores level.
Stocksbridge Park Steels held a 1-0 lead at half-time but succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at Cleethorpes Town.
Lewis Whitham was their first half goal-scorer.
