Armthorpe Welfare moved to within one point of the play-offs thanks to a 6-0 demolition of Nottinghamshire-based side Ollerton Town whose sixth game unbeaten run was spectacularly ended.

Unlikely goal-scorer Jack Wilson set the ball rolling in the sixth minute with a low left-footed effort.

Noel Burnett doubled the lead, blasting home from Jack Mawson’s pass.

Former Worsbrough Bridge favourite Mawson then pounced to add the third after Levi Owen was unable to claim a Armthorpe free kick.

Unfortunately for Ollerton, Owen was injured during the attempted claim so outfield player Connor Green had to go in goal.

Alex Varley put the victory beyond doubt on the stroke of half-time.

Sam Foulds netted Armthorpe’s final two goals in the second half.

Frustrating afternoon: Harrogate Railway manager Mick O’Connell

Lee Morris’ Armthorpe are a point behind Harrogate Railway who down 3-0 at Rossington Main.

Gary Mundy, new signing Myron Gibbons and William Monteiro scored for Rossington.

Nostell Miners Welfare’s Nathan Hawkhead

Nostell Miners Welfare’s poor form continues as they lost 2-1 at home to Dronfield Town.

Nathan Hawkhead scored for Nostell.
