Stalwart Gavin Smith has left his role as manager of Sheffield FC by mutual consent.
Smith has served Sheffield as a player, assistant manager and manager so his exit is a sad moment.
He became first team boss in May 2018.
Along with assistant Kirk Jackson, he leaves two days after the shock defeat to Handsworth in the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup.
Sheff Club are fourth bottom in the NPL Division One East.
A statement said: “It is with regret that Sheffield FC announce the departure of first team manager Gavin Smith and assistant Kirk Jackson, by mutual consent.
“The Club would like to put on record our thanks to Gavin and Kirk, both having played and now managed Sheffield FC with distinction.
“First team affairs with be taken by coach Jamie Yates in the interim. Applications for the vacant post to be e-mailed to chairmanrich@sheffieldfc.com with a full CV.”
