Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League Round-Up
Premier Division
Danny Barlow haunted former club Dodworth Miners Welfare by scoring the second goal in leaders Swinton Athletic’s 2-0 win in Barnsley.
Barlow was quiet all game until he became an eager beaver in the final minute when Swinton broke away to seal their win when Dodworth were pushing forward for an equaliser.
The dull contest had seen Sam Green head Swinton ahead in the first half.
The win stretches Swinton’s lead at the top to six points.
Terry Simon’s ‘miracle men’ Wombwell Main are now second after staging an incredible comeback in 3-3 draw at local rivals North Gawber.
Rejuvenated Gawber, now managed by Scott Chipchase, were leading 3-0 with ten minutes to go thanks to Curtis Ramskill, Liam Marsden and Zac Harper.
Luke Sykes (2) and perennial goal-scorer Ryan Wingrove pulled Wombwell out of the fire.
In the two other Premier Division games, Hepworth United won 3-2 at Sheffield Town and Jubilee Sports won the see-saw battle at High Green 5-4.
Liam Hill-Simmons (2), Liam Haglington, Jordan Lives and former Worsbrough Bridge striker Tom Foltyn-Brown all found the net for Jubilee.
