Young, the left back who consistently produces sublime quality, expertly converted two first half penalties to lay the platform for the fine victory.
Grimsby were reduced to ten men after James Petronzio was dismissed for a second bookable offence.
The visitors were then reduced to nine men due to a sin-binning.
Reece High netted the third late-on before Adam Drury reduced the deficit.
