Flanagan ends Selby’s long winless run

Toolstation NCEL Division One

New head-shot: Selby Town striker Liam Flanagan

Liam Flanagan was the late hero as Selby Town recovered from a two-goal deficit to end their long winless run which stretches back to September.

Selby won 3-2 at Clipstone after trailing 2-0 after Joshua Pickering had scored twice in 13 minutes for the hosts.

Captain Ryan Gothard forced home their first goal on the stroke of half-time.

Harry Clapham slammed the ball into the top corner for the equaliser on the hour.

Clipstone’s Dec Sorrell then saw red.

Flanagan produced his moment of magic late-on, travelling across half of the pitch before firing past the home goalkeeper – to great acclaim.

Parkgate striker Tom Whiting

Rossington Main’s dream stay at the top of the table is over for now…

Ben Hunter’s men lost 2-1 to Parkgate at home.

Jake Ellam and ex-Nostell Miners Welfare man Tom Whiting scored the goals for Parkgate.

Tyla Bell’s very late penalty gave Rossington a faint glimmer of hope.

North Ferriby replaced them as leaders as Chris Bolder’s men won 3-0 at Armthorpe Welfare.

Second half goals from Danny East (penalty), Matty Plummer and Tom Corner sealed their latest success.

Worsbrough Bridge captain Conor Glavin

Worsbrough Bridge were beaten by the odd goal in the 2-1 loss at Shirebrook Town.

Captain Conor Glavin equalised at one stage.

Brigg Town striker Scott Phillips

Swallownest led twice at promotion-chasing Brigg Town but lost 4-2.

Jason Short and Jake Hatton scored.

Perennial hero Scott Phillips hit a hat-trick for Brigg.

FC Humber United lost 4-1 to Retford FC – Eddy Wileman scored their goal.
