Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League Round-Up
Premier Division
Kai Hancock was Dodworth Miners Welfare’s hero as he made a handy intervention by scoring the winner in the 2-1 victory at High Green Villa.
The narrow success got Dodworth back on track and hooked them back into second place behind title favourites Swinton Athletic.
Oli Stokes broke the deadlock for Darren Young’s Dodworth but their lead was reeled back by former Worsbrough Bridge star Matt Jacobs’ equaliser for High Green.
Dodworth, who missed a lot of chances, then won it thanks to predator Hancock.
Ryan Hallsworth scored twice as Penistone Church continued their almost-flawless start with a 5-0 demolition of Jubilee Sports.
Jack Moore, Will Stead and Ben Matthews also netted.
Martell Daswell, Cole Payne and Luke Webster netted as Stocksbridge Park Steels Reserves inflicted a first defeat on new North Gawber manager Scott Chipchase.
A last minute Carlton Carty penalty rescued a 2-2 draw for Ecclesfield Red Rose 1915 against Sheffield Town.
Harry Hurst was Ecclesfield’s other goal-scorer.
