North West Counties First Division North (Yorkshire) Round-Up
Ash Flynn’s late winner sent Golcar United back to the top of the table.
Flynn had the last laugh in Golcar’s 3-2 win at AFC Darwen – a game which saw Ash and Gav Connor’s men surrender a two-goal lead.
The Huddersfield-based side had raced into it inside the opening eight minutes.
Buddy Cox scored in the first minute and then Flynn popped up with his first of the afternoon.
Darwen hit back but Golcar got the winning goal.
Campion also surrendered a two-goal lead but had to settle for a point from the 2-2 home draw with Garstang.
Mark Ferguson placed Campion in front in the sixth minute before Nicky Boshell’s successful penalty conversion.
Unfortunately Garstang got one back close to half-time and a second half penalty allowed them to draw level.
Sam Dexter’s first game in charge of Ilkley Town ended in a 2-1 defeat at Atherton LR.
Luke Barker gave them the lead but two quick-fire goals in the second half condemned them to defeat.
