Campion recovered from a disastrous start as they conceded after just three minutes.
The Bradford-based side equalised before the break.
Ethan Crossley’s cross was knocked down by Paddy Sykes and Danny Keane smashed home.
Ferguson put Campion ahead ten minutes into the second half after breaking clear.
He repeated the same trick five minutes from time.
Campion are now seven points from the play-offs.
Steeton were beaten 2-0 at home by Nelson.
Steeton lost goalkeeper Stuart Cross at half-time to a broken finger, forcing forward Jahro Parchment to go in goal.
He did well but was unable to stop Nelson scoring twice.
