Young Doncaster Rovers goalkeeper Ben Bottomley has joined John Deacey’s Tadcaster Albion on a two-month loan deal.

Bottomley joins 24 hours before the tough home clash with title-chasing Liversedge tomorrow.

Bottomley actually played against Tadcaster earlier in the season as he had a short stint with Frickley Athletic.

Last season he was involved with Doncaster’s first team match-day squad on five occasions.

Tadcaster’s loan deal for York defender Josh King has fallen through.

On their official website, York said: “Josh King has returned to the club following his decision not to proceed with a loan move to Tadcaster Albion.

“Following discussions with the management team, King was granted permission to go out on loan to gain match fitness following a long period out of training due to an FA ban.

“After agreeing a one month deal with Tadcaster, King trained with the Brewers last night, but has decided to return to York with a view to a loan move elsewhere.

“The club are now looking at alternative options for a loan move.”
