Sam Cable scored a hat-trick as Goole AFC went into the festive period in high spirits thanks to the 4-2 win at Knaresborough Town.
Luke Williams backed up Cable’s first half double to give Goole a huge 3-0 lead at half-time.
Knaresborough rallied to drag themselves back into it with goals from Craig Ramplin and Sean Hunter.
But Cable’s hat-trick sealing goal in the 73rd minute earned Goole the points.


Eccleshill United remain on the tail of leaders Grimsby Borough as they overturned a first half deficit to beat Emley AFC 2-1.
Joe Jagger’s eighth minute opener for Emley was cancelled out by Talent Ndlovu’s penalty.
Luke Aldrich won it for Eccleshill after the hour mark.

Johnathan Williams’ second half penalty was the difference in Maltby Main’s solitary goal win at Athersley Rec.
The Rec had Declan Martin sent off late-on.

Brad Riley was also on target for Danny Forrest’s side.
Albert Ibrahimi put Thackley ahead but Paddy McGuire’s side were beaten 3-1 by Winterton Rangers at Dennyfield.
