NPL Division One East
Liversedge 6-1 Lincoln United
Gavin Allottt produced a piece of magic for Liversedge as he scored a four-minute hat-trick in his four goal haul in the demolition of Lincoln United.
The striker turned it on after the hour mark in the win which maintains their unbeaten start and propels them back to the top of the league for Christmas.
‘Sedge were in front at half-time as recent signing Lewis Whitham broke deadlock.
One became two straight after the interval as captain Jack Stockdill turned in Ollie Fearon’s header.
Fearon was involved for Allott’s first goal as it was his cross which was converted by the former Frickley Athletic striker with a diving header.
Allott scored his second goal at the back-post after Ben Atkinson couldn’t find the net.
Atkinson then supplied the assist as Allott sealed his quick-fire treble in the 65th minute.
The sixth goal arrived with five minutes remaining.
Allott made the break on goal and after some passing between him, Paul Walker and Spencer Harris, the striker smashed his fourth and Liversedge’s sixth.
Lincoln pulled one back through Matthew Cotton who found the top corner.
