Goalkeeper leaves Sheffield FC

NPL Division One East

Goalkeeper Jonathan Hedge has left Sheffield FC after three years with the club.

The former Harrogate Town and FC Halifax Town stopper departs ahead of Sheffield’s trip to local rivals Stocksbridge Park Steels on December 27th.

His final game for Ryan Cresswell’s side was the heart-breaking 3-2 defeat to Tadcaster Albion.

Sheffield led 2-0 at half-time through Marc Newsham and Nathan Modest but Tadcaster staged a second half fight-back to snatch the points.

Sheffield fielded new signings Luke Hall (Matlock Town) and James Baxendale (Worksop Town).
