Chris Spinks’ rocket caused a huge tremor as it guided Hall Road Rangers to a shock win at North Ferriby and knocked their hosts off top spot.
Spinks was in inspired form in front of the incredible 1139 crowd.
His brilliant burst forward helped set up the opener in the 35th minute.
He went through the middle and after a superb one-two with Tom Bennett, the ball was played out to the left.
The cross was played into the six-yard-box and Reece Moody fired home.
Ferriby soon equalised after a very offside-looking Jackson Jowett blasted the ball home after Josh Whiteley’s shot had hit the post.
But Hall Road had the last word on the stroke of half-time.
A free kick outside the penalty area dangled a huge carrot for Spinks and he leathered the ball into the net to score what turned out to be the winner
Harrogate Railway finish 2021 in fourth place after the 2-0 win at Glasshoughton Welfare who once again fielded striker Tom Carr in goal.
Dan McDaid’s brilliant free kick placed them ahead four minutes before half-time.
Dan Thirkell sent Carr the wrong way from the penalty spot five minutes into the second half.
