Tadcaster Albion 2-3 Ossett United
New loan signing Charlie Wood was Ossett United’s hero as the Ingfielders secured a victory in front of new managers Jas Colliver and Mark Ward.
The pair were only ‘spectators’ for the fixture as caretaker bosses James Walshaw and Ross Killock led the side.
They enjoyed a solid first half as Aaron Haswell scored after breaking through on goal on the half-hour mark.
Walshaw actually had the chance to put Ossett in full control as he won a penalty which was saved.
The miss came back to bite Ossett as recent signing Jack Carr equalised with a spectacular overhead kick for Tad two minutes into the second half.
Former Ossett striker Eddie Church then haunted his old club by placing Tad in front.
The response from Ossett was fairly sharp as Louis Beckett fired home from distance.
Bradford City loanee Wood then won the contest with burying Dec McGivern’s flick-on from a Beckett free kick.
