FC Halifax Town were just minutes away from becoming the outright leaders of the National League.

A scrambled late goal rescued a 1-1 draw for joint leaders Chesterfield who are top on goals difference.

Matty Warburton’s early goal – a strike from the edge of the penalty area – had put Halifax on course for victory in front of 8,000 people.

National North 

Bradford (Park Avenue)

Bradford (Park Avenue were denied by a late goal as well in the 2-2 draw in the derby clash at Guiseley.

Dylan Mottley-Henry and Brad Dockerty turned around a deficit to put Avenue in the lead with only eight minutes.

Guiseley, who had led through Jake Hull, snatched a dramatic equaliser thanks to Regan Hutchinson’s thunderbolt.

Paddy McLaughlin’s goal edged a tight contest as York City won 1-0 against Alfreton Town at home.

Farsley Celtic lost 4-0 at in-form Southport.
