New Ossett United bosses Jas Colliver and Mark Ward have made the first of several signings to come.
Former Chesterfield and Tadcaster Albion attacker Ify Ofegbu arrives at Ossett from Grantham Town – the club who Colliver recently assisted Carlton Palmer at.
He is set to make his debut in the home clash with Brighouse Town on Saturday.
“He’ll be in for Saturday and he’s coming from Step 3,” Colliver told Non League Yorkshire.
“He was at Chesterfield as a pro and he’s got electric pace and can play down either side or down the middle.
“We said we want to be exciting and entertaining in the final third and he’ll help us do that.”
Colliver has already had success with his first signing – on loan Bradford City striker Charlie Wood.
“Charlie Wood is highly-thought of at Bradford,” he said.
“They want him to get some experience so he’s ready to go back and play in League Two.
“He played at Tadcaster and did well.
“I think there’s more from him to come but he got the winner so if every signing comes in and does as well as him on his debut we’ll be laughing.”
