National League (Yorkshire) Round-Up
FC Halifax Town were just minutes from another memorable victory but Grimsby Town equalised to share the points in the 1-1 draw.
Jordan Maguire-Drew rescued Grimsby with a header in the dying seconds to cruelly deny Pete Wild’s high-flying Halifax.
Halifax led for most of the second half as Kian Spence had pounced to score after Grimsby goalkeeper Max Crocombe had spilled Jordan Slew’s shot.
The draw keeps Halifax in second place but no longer joint top as leaders Chesterfield beat struggling King’s Lynn.
National North
Guiseley and Farsley Celtic battled out a goal-less draw at Nethermoor.
Both defences were in fine form in the clash which both sides needed three points from.
Tyler Walton had Farsley’s best chance.
He managed to get behind Guiseley’s defence but was unable to score past Owen Mason.
Adam Haw did the same at the other end and Celtic goalkeeper Kyle Trenerry prevented him scoring.
Farsley finished with ten men as Walton was shown a second yellow card.
