North West Counties League First Division North Round-Up

Ash Flynn scored as Golcar United drew 1-1 at Bacup Borough.
The stalemate is a big blow for Golcar as unbeaten Bury AFC won 3-0 against Atherton LR to open up an eight point lead at the top.
Sam Dexter’s Ilkley Town lost 3-2 at Nelson.
Tom Smith and Matthew Swift scored for Ilkley.

Steeton were well beaten at promotion-chasing Holker Old Boys in a 5-1 defeat.
Holker were leading 5-0 by the hour mark.
Luke Baldwin then scored a consolation for Steeton.
On a bizarre note, Tom Simpson answered Steeton’s SOS call for a goalkeeper on Friday and played in the fixture.
However, he suffered a fractured finger in the game and is now out for six weeks.
