North West Counties League First Division North
The goalkeeper curse at Steeton has continued as their latest emergency stopper Fletcher Paley is now injured after playing in the 1-1 draw with Daisy Hill.
That means Roy Mason needs a seventh stopper of the campaign.
The problems began two weeks ago when first choice ‘keeper Stuart Cross became injured.
An appeal was launched and Tom Simpson played at Holker Old Boys but suffered fractured finger.
Mason sent out another SOS call and former player Paley stepped up.
However, he was carried off with 15 minutes to go against Daisy Hill after being the victim of a late challenge.
It leaves Mason scratching his head and wondering where to turn next Saturday’s clash with Ilkley Town at Marley Stadium.
