Handsworth raced out of the blocks as Leon Howarth scored two quick-fire goals early on.
Ex-Handsworth man Robert Chipps pulled one back before half-time.
Two goals in three minutes from Mitch Dunne and Jordan Lonchar midway through the second half.
Sheldon Jordan pulled one back for Maltby.
Handsworth are not in action this weekend.
Their next game is against Sherwood Colliery at Olivers Mount on the 19th February.
