NPL Division One East
Sharpshooter Kieran Wells is back to help fire Frickley Athletic to safety.
Wells was instrumental in Frickley’s best start to a season since the early 1990s before his departure to Stalybridge Celtic in September.
Whilst Wells was moving between Sherwood Colliery and Basford United, Frickley have massively struggled and find themselves in a relegation battle as it stands.
The win over Stocksbridge Park Steels in midweek was their first since November and it gives them fresh momentum.
Defensively Frickley are extremely sound and have one of the best defensive records in the league, however they have the worst goals for column.
The Blues have only scored 17 goals in 24 games but the matter is likely to be addressed by the return of Wells who is bound to score goals.
Jude Adebayo has also signed from Ossett United.
Both players were set to be involved in the six-pointer at Sheffield FC which was postponed due to the bad weather.
