Luke Forgione has added a highly-rated youngster to his Worsbrough Bridge squad.
Stocksbridge Park Steels attacker Jack Bennett has dual-registered with Worsbrough.
Bennett has plenty of NCEL experience from his time with Emley and Athersley Rec.
Forgione told Worsbrough’s website: “We are really pleased to get this signing over the line.
“Having lost two attacking threats recently in Luke Francis and Jordan Kershaw (Dearne & District) and the suspensions of Alex Hutchinson and Harley Holt, we felt we needed to add some firepower to our squad and take the burden away from Mike Jepps who has been our main goal threat all season.
“Jack is another one with huge potential and an eye for a goal and has loads of pace. We feel that we have now built a team that has some of the most exciting young talent in the area.
“As a club we will continue to invest in these young players and give them the opportunity and platform to progress individually and collectively.
“With us carrying injuries and suspensions going into these last few games this month has been difficult for us, against some of the strongest opposition in the league.
“We hope that going into March we will see the return of players with new players, which will allow us to have a good crack at the last ten games to finish the season well and achieve our aims.
“Jack, will play a big part in achieving this as well with the current group of lads we have.
“We hope that it will be an exciting end to the year, with a few home games left, we hope we can get good crowds again down at the club and play some exciting and entertaining football.”
