Team you support

Burnley

Football Idol

Been a Burnley fan I love Robbie Blake but my idol would be Ronaldo, the fat one.

Biggest influence on football career

Had some great gaffers, but has to be Mark Jackson.

Leeds United under 23s boss Mark Jackson was Kirby’s manager for the Farsley Celtic under 19s in 2008
Aiden Kirby played for Farsley Celtic’s under 19s (Leeds City College) but he did make a couple of first team appearances
Among Kirby’s Farsley team-mates were Frickley’s Nathan Perks, Liversedge’s Kevy Tarangadzo, Knaresborough’s Tom Dugdale and ex-Nostell wing wizard Richard Collier

Career Highlight

Aidan Kirby during his Silsden days

Winning the North West Counties Division One league title with Silsden.

Most Memorable Game

Has to be in the Silsden title winning season, where was was drawing 1-1 with Abbey Hulton and ended up scoring a last minute winner which helped us push clear at the top of the table.

Lowest moment in football

Lowest point would be my two red cards this year.

Biggest regret in football

My 3 red cards and the regret of letting your team down.

Funniest moment in football

Some great away trips with Silsden on the coach in the title winning seasons, Volvic lives long in the memory (inside joke to those who know)

First semi-professional manager

Derek Graham who’s now chairman of the club (Frome Town)

Non League Debut

Frome town, in the Wiltshire cup against street, remember I scored two that game.

First Red Card in Non League

Head lost against Irlam, ended up kicking the left back after the ball had gone in anger with the way the game was going.

First and Best Non League Goal

First goal would have been for Frome Town, best goal has to be for Silsden against Nelson with a left foot swinger from the edge of the box that found the top corner.

What do you want to achieve in football in the future?

Win the league with Campion as captain and lift a trophy with the lads!

Favourite Non League Ground

Been to many but think Tadcaster was one of the best surfaces I’ve played on.
