Hallam ease to win at Selby

Toolstation NCEL Division One

Selby Town 0-4 Hallam

Hallam striker Iren Wilson

Craig Denton’s Hallam prepared for the huge clash with title rivals North Ferriby in the best possible fashion by dispatching Selby Town in a straight-forward win.

Selby had their moments but Hallam effectively had the game wrapped up by half-time as they led by three.

Hallam raced out of the blocks and the unmarked Kieran Watson headed in the opener from free kick out on the right flank.

Hallam had the better of the chances as the half wore on and there was a sense a second goal was looming when Iren Wilson smashed home after Selby were unable to clear their lines from a corner.

Brandon Bradbury then put the game beyond their hosts with the third goal.

Hallam goalkeeper Myles Wright made two great saves in the early parts of the second half before Liam Royles added the fourth.
