Paul Marshall wants to reunite Harrogate Railway’s 2002 FA Cup legends for the 20th anniversary in December.
Over three thousand people crammed into Station View to watch the unforgettable FA Cup second round tie with Danny Wilson’s Bristol City – a game broadcast live on Sky Sports.
The match is arguably the greatest in the club’s history due to Railway’s position in the football pyramid at the time.
It also remains one of the most remarkable achievements from a Yorkshire-based Non League side in the past few decades.
Marshall, who celebrates his 1000th game as a manager in a few weeks, has begun very early preparations for a big celebration but unfortunately he is not in touch with many of the side.
“It is a shame I haven’t seen half of that squad for a long time,” Marshall told Non League Yorkshire.
“I’d love to see some of those lads again.
“Those two final seasons at Harrogate Railway were amazing and it is important we commemorate in the right way but we’re not in touch with a number of players.
“I’ve been speaking to Alan Smith and Mick Gray and we were saying it would be great to have a proper do at Harrogate Railway in December to mark the 20th anniversary and so people can all remember those glory days.”
