Frickley Athletic claimed another massive win to move one step closer to securing their league survival.

Second half goals from Brad Wells and Rod Orlando-Young steered Frickley to the 2-0 win over fellow strugglers Bridlington Town in the six-pointer.

Brighouse Town striker Laurence Sorhaindo

Hope continues to slip away from Pickering Town as they were beaten 5-1 at Brighouse Town.

Laurence Sorhaindo (2), Shiraz Khan, Elliot Harrison and Javelle Clarke netted for Brighouse. 

Brandon Holdsworth’s penalty pulled one back for Pickering.

Liversedge midfielder Ben Atkinson

Liversedge remain on the coat-tails after the narrow 3-2 victory over Sheffield FC.

Goals from Gavin Allott, Joe Walton and Ben Atkinson were the difference.

Pontefract Collieries drew 0-0 at Lincoln United while Tadcaster Albion’s trip to Worksop ended in the same score-line.

A last minute goal condemned Yorkshire Amateur to a 1-0 defeat to Hebburn Town.

Stocksbridge Park Steels were beaten 2-0 by Cleethorpes Town at Bracken Moor.

Ossett United lost 4-0 at Stockton Town.

Premier Division 

Scarborough Athletic striker Jake Day

Jake Day’s late goal edged Scarborough Athletic to a 2-1 win at Atherton Collieries and nearer to securing a play-offs spot.

Debutant Hull City loanee Will Jarvis broke the deadlock for Jonathan Greening’s side.

Whitby Town and Buxton finished goal-less. 

With Warrington Town losing, Whitby closed the gap between them and the top five to two points.
