Brett Smith’s goal denied Harrogate Railway in their quest to secure a play-offs spot

Harrogate Railway all but secured their place in the play-offs with the 1-1 draw with Nostell Miners Welfare.

However, the stalemate caused them to lose control of the battle with Brigg Town for third place.

Dan Thirkell’s penalty was cancelled out by Brett Smith’s goal.

Selby Town are the only team outside the play-offs who can mathematically catch them – even though it would take Selby winning all their final four games and Railway losing theirs.

Star Selby Town striker Liam Flanagan

Selby came from behind to win 4-1 against Nottinghamshire-side Ollerton Town to keep the pressure on fifth placed Rossington Main.

Liam Flanagan grabbed a hat-trick alongside Harry Clapham’s solitary goal.

North Ferriby ensured their slim chance of winning the title remains alive after Danny East scored the late winner in the 3-2 win over North Ferriby.

Ferriby recovered from Kyle Fish’s opener to lead through East and Tom Corner.

Lewis Stephens equalised before East popped up in the 78th minute.

Parkgate remain in the race for the top five thanks to the 8-1 demolition of doomed Clipstone.

Brandon Bagley (2), Alex Rippon, James Stafford, Tim Whittaker, Will Wraith, Max Rhodes and an own goal eased Parkgate to victory.

FC Humber United lost 2-1 at Rainworth Miners Welfare after conceding two late goals.

Brandon Burke found the net for Humber.
