Justin Greenwood’s injury time goal saw Swinton Athletic win 1-0 at Penistone Church Reserves to retake full control of the title race.
The victory was a big one as Dodworth Miners Welfare lost 3-2 to Wakefield AFC who now occupy second place.
Billy Mole twice put Wakefield in front but both times Dodworth prodigal son Danny Barlow cancelled them with spectacular free kicks.
Unfortunately for Dodworth, Bartek Chorbak snatched all three points for Wakefield.
North Gawber showed their trademark fight and determination again after mounting a comeback to draw 3-3 with Jon Wragg’s Ecclesfield Red Rose 1915.
Ecclesfield led 3-0 at half-time through Carlton Carty, Harry Hurst and ex-Mansfield Town striker Daniel Reet.
Lee Elsworth, Matthew Blakey and Imran Abdalla led Gawber’s fight-back.
High Green won 2-1 against Jubilee Sports in the battle of the doomed sides.
The victory was the first of the season for High Green.
Houghton Main were beaten 2-1 at home by Oughtibridge War Memorial.
