Garforth Town manager Paul Marshall is calling on the East Leeds town public to turn out in force again ahead of the latest ‘biggest game in years’ tonight.
Garforth host red hot second-placed Winterton Rangers, who haven’t dropped in ages, knowing it is literally win or bust for their promotion chances.
“It is another massive game and I hope everyone who came on Saturday (to the Penistone game) comes back and supports us,” Marshall told Non League Yorkshire.
“We have got to win on Tuesday and hope for the best.
“It is not in our hands.
“Since the Grimsby defeat we won five on the bounce and drew with Penistone and we have gone from second or third to fifth.
“Only in this league could you go unbeaten in six games and go down three places.
“We still believe and we’ll keep going.
“Nobody expected us to be in this situation and we’re there on merit.
“When we have a full squad out we’re as good as anybody.”
Over 400 people watched Garforth dramatically score an equaliser with the last kick of the game against Penistone Church.
Marshall said his side had enough opportunities to win the contest which finished 1-1.
“Charlie (Marshall) had a chance a minute before half-time when he has cut in on his right foot and put it past the post,” he said.
“Burg (James Burgess) had a chance where he flicked it over the goalkeeper.
“Hass (Gorji) went through and should have scored so we had three good chances and we should have scored one of them.”
