Toolstation NCEL Division One
Harrogate Railway 0-1 Rossington Main
Sharp-shooter and hero Brad Grayson ran into the arms of his Rossington Main team-mates and the club’s management team after scoring a last minute screamer to edge them closer to clinching a play-offs place.
One more win will guarantee a top five spot for Rossington, who now have secured the highest finish in the club’s history.
The contest was an extremely tight one.
Railway, whose plays-offs place is assured, may look back on wasting several second half chances – particularly one involving Marcus Day.
Rossington hit the crossbar in the first half and almost scored near the end through Declan Slater.
The game was fizzling out when intelligent forward Grayson popped up with his moment of genius.
A Rossington corner was headed out and the former Stocksbridge Park Steels forward fired a low and hard shot into the bottom corner from distance.
