Up and away Hallam lifted the Division One trophy in front of over 1100 people.
Hallam definitely returning to the NCEL’s top flight for the first time since 2011 as the 2-1 victory over Clipstone confirms their title win and promotion.
But doomed Clipstone threatened to spoil the party though after taking the lead in the sixth minute.
Had Clipstone managed to hold on then the party would have had to be delayed for a week.
So there may have been nervy people inside Sandygate until Brad Morton headed in the equaliser from a corner.
Despite huge pressure on the Clipstone goal, Hallam left it late and experienced striker Chris Wood was the hero.
Wood found the net with a similar goal to the one he scored in 2017 for Pontefract Collieries which also fired them to the promotion out of Division One.
