The battle for the runners-up promotion/play-offs spot will go down to the wire after another dramatic afternoon.

Eccleshill United are in pole position despite surrounding a two-goal lead in the 2-2 draw at Penistone Church.

All they have to do is beat basement side Athersley Rec to secure second place.

Alex Laird and Zack Sangster gave Lee Elam’s side a commanding first half lead.

But Brett Lovell and Brad Kemp led the fight-back for Church who will finish sixth.

Garforth Town striker James Burgess

Garforth Town scored three times in the final five minutes win 5-2 at Maltby Main to stay in the race.

James Burgess (2) and Hass Gorji scored.

Joe Colley and Sam Denton had earlier twice given Garforth the lead.

Winterton Rangers have an outside chance after Josh Walker scored the late equaliser in the 3-3 draw at Emley AFC who could still finish in the top eight.

George Doyle (2) and Sam Pashley scored for Emley.

Goole striker Sam Cable
