Wakefield AFC 8-1 Jubilee Sports
Wakefield AFC recovered from a terrible start to strengthen their top five hopes by annihilating basement side Jubilee Sports.
Wakefield conceded in the first minute after playing the ball out from their own goal kick.
The ball only reached the edge of the penalty area when it was lost, gifting a huge underdogs Jubilee a goal they probably didn’t expect to get.
By half-time though it was 5-1 to Wakefield.
Danny Youel’s free kick from the left-wing from distance was clearly a cross and only flew home because of goalkeeper error.
A demolito job was was on the cards once as Wakey grabbed the second goal.
That was scored by Owen Kirman who forced his way into the penalty area and sent a low finish into the net.
Cory Woodward netted his first of the night with a close range blast after his header had been saved.
Harley Blankley scored with a low effort before Jake Morrison curled home a free kick on the stroke of half-time.
Double figures was a real possibility, especially when Kirman took on several Jubilee player before scoring from 18 yards.
Morrison added number seven by scoring another free kick from a similar range to his first goal.
The best goal was saved until last as Woodward sent a stunning volley into the top corner.
