Wakefield AFC have kept the heat on leaders Swinton Athletic after winning at North Gawber.

Owen Kirman gave Wakefield a first half lead after tapping home Mason Rubie’s cross.

Wakefield were fairly fortunate to stay ahead in the second half as North Gawber piled the pressure on.

That pressure eased when Brad Swaine netted a sublime goal.

Bruno Bagi sealed the win in the last few minutes.

Swinton maintained their five point lead by winning 3-1 against Sheffield Town.

Division One Results

South Kirkby Colliery ended their season at the top of the tree after winning 2-0 at Caribbean Sports.

They now face an anxious face to find out if they will be one of the three promoted sides.

Their chances are good as Handsworth, Wombwell Town and Denaby Main all have to play each other.

Denaby face the toughest ask as they will need 11 points out of a possible 15 following the 2-2 draw at Kiveton Park.

They also have to play Handsworth and Wombwell.
