North Ferriby 2-0 Rossington Main
Two quick-fire first half goals safely guided favourites North Ferriby into next week’s final and brought surprise package Rossington Main’s greatest season to an end.
The semi-final was not without controversy as Rossington finished with nine men as Brad Grayson and Gary Mundy were red carded.
The turning point came on the half-hour mark when Grayson was red carded as his high-foot on goalkeeper Lewis Exall was deemed reckless.
Ferriby then seized control.
An own goal from Mundy placed Ferriby ahead before Whiteley went through and found the bottom corner.
Ferriby were unfortunate not to increase their lead but Rossington goalkeeper Kian Johnson was in brilliant form.
Mundy saw red late on.
Ferriby will host Harrogate Railway in the final next week.
