Penistone Church Reserves dented ten man Dodworth Miners Welfare’s title hopes in a 3-1 victory – their first win since the end of February.
Ryan Hallsworth, Ross Levesley and first team striker Reece High scored the goals.
Referee Gary Hubbard was involved in a second controversial match with Dodworth this season as he sent off their goalkeeper Josh Herring after Penistone went 2-0 up.
The loss means Dodworth can only win the league if Swinton Athletic slip up in their remaining three fixtures.
Swinton took full advantage as they put TEN without reply past a young North Gawber side.
Sam Green scored EIGHT of the goals.
Justin Greenwood and Jack Mccarthy also netted in a game that Swinton race into a five-goal lead after just half-an-hour.
Wombwell Main strengthened their top five thanks to the 3-0 win at Hepworth United.
Ethan Kenny, Atley Jackson and substitute Bailey Cowsell netted for Terry Simon’s side.
Manager-less Houghton Main moved further away from the drop zone following the 4-2 win at Jubilee Sports.
Harry Steeple (2), Mohammed Saeed and Louis Wardle guided Houghton to victory.
It was interim manager Donovan Cotton’s fourth win since stepping in Nathan Simms’ absence.
Cotton will take charge of Houghton for the rest of the season.
Oughtibridge are on their tail and they enhanced their chances by winning 4-0 at High Green Villa.
