NPL Division One East Round-Up (2)
Great escape hopefuls Pickering Town won for the third consecutive game as the relegation battle was blown wide open again.
Alhassane Keita scored as Pickering beat Stocksbridge Park Steels 1-0 and they go into the six pointer with Bridlington Town on Bank Holiday Monday knowing they have to win to take their survival chances to the final day.
Defeat is not an option whereas a draw leaves them relying on results elsewhere.
Bridlington lost their other six-pointer as Sheffield FC won 2-0 at Queensgate,
Despite playing against ten men for most of the game, Frickley Athletic remain in a heap of trouble as they lost 2-0 to Tadcaster Albion who are now safe.
Jack Carr broke the deadlock but was then sent off.
Mark Ferguson sealed the three points late-on.
The situation has become harder for the likes of Frickley, Brid and Pickering as Lincoln United have pulled themselves further clear after beating Yorkshire Amateur 4-1.
Casey Stewart on target for the Ammers.
