Silas Valladolid found the net in the first half for Swinton.

Swinton now go into their final game of the season, Wednesday’s mouth-watering crunch showdown with challengers Wakefield AFC, knowing if they win then the title is theirs.

It is not quite a win or bust situation as draw could be good enough for Wakefield as their goal difference is superior, should they go on and win their final three games after the trip to Swinton.

Wakefield AFC striker Jake Morrison

Wakefield increased their goals scored column thanks to the 6-0 victory at Stocksbridge Park Steels Reserves.

Sharpshooter Jake Morrison hit four goals, alongside solitary goals from Billy Mole and Mohammed Abou.

Wombwell Main manager Terry Simon

Jordan Kershaw staked a claim on the precious match-ball after grabbing a hat-trick for Terry Simon’s Wombwell Main young guns in the 4-2 win at Ecclesfield Red Rose.

Atley Jackson was the other goal-scorer in a game which saw Wombwell race into a 4-1 half-time.

The result keeps Wombwell’s top five hopes alive.

Penistone Church Reserves’ upturn in fortunes continued with the 3-1 win at High Green Villa.
